You’ve heard it before, it all started in a basement…
Well, this time, it’s true. Buckle in folks; have we got a story for you!
Ralph Fuelling and his wife Kim started off in the construction business. They brought beautiful spaces to homes all across Northeast Ohio. From kitchens, to bathrooms, bars, offices, and basements, they truly were a power couple that helped shape the heart of a home for so many people. Despite loving the work and having an incredible knack for the trades, there comes a time in every labor-intensive job for a person to hang up their hard hat. After facing many physical challenges and diagnoses, the pair decided it was time for a change.
Leaning into their passion for the outdoors, Ralph looked for ways to extend the longevity of his jet skis. Living near the great Lake Erie, his passion for catching a wave and riding free has been growing over the years.
However, as with many expensive toys, come many expensive repairs. Years of seeing other people have to replace their jet ski screens due to exposure, sun damage, and wear and tear sparked the idea to find a protector for the screen he had to replace on his own equipment.
After looking and looking, to no avail, there just wasn’t something to fit what he needed. However, not to be deterred, Ralph leaned on Justin, their engineer, to draw up a design based on what he needed and print a set for him.
With his avid love of 3D printing and CAD skills, a prototype was born.
After seeing how well they worked, Ralph and Kim were sitting in their garage talking about their new discovery and the question was posed. “Why don’t you make them?!?!” And as they say, the rest was history in motion.
In 2023 the print farm was launched in the basement of their old farmhouse in Ohio. Patents were filed, and Suncap USA was born.

SuncapUSA covers are printed with ASA plastic filament, which is water, salt, and UV resistant. Tough Stuff! There are over 20 colors to choose from for both the main color and the text, with up to 4 colors available on one cover at a time. That is over 400 combinations!
The USA collection offers red, white, and blue text on any background color from our selections. Protectors are available for Sea-Doo jet skis from 1995 to the most current models!
Suncaps are not only for jet skis, but can be applied to many of BRP’s other products like the Can Am SXS’s, Ryker and Spyder 3 wheelers, and ATV’s!
The selections are constantly evolving and Ski-Doo covers for multi-year models are coming soon! An expansion to other manufacturer’s screen protectors is also in the works. The goal is to protect everything from land to sea so that you can enjoy your powersports vehicles longer and make more memories with friends and family.
